Today's Horoscope
All signs:
The stars want to remind you that life is not a TV show or a movie. You know that, but sometimes our brains can't tell the difference.
Movies and TV shows are scripted, full of set ups and contrived circumstances to play on your emotions. They are full of grand gestures and amazing incidents happening at the exact moment they need to. In the case of TV shows, on a weekly basis.
Now, it's not like those moments don't exist in real life, they do sometimes. Just not as often as our brains see them happen in an alternate reality we force them to watch. Soon your brain starts to make you question why you aren't getting those same endorphin jolts from your everyday life and the people in it.
You're not going to, not in the same way with the same regularity. So you can find yourself judging people, and life in general, in an unfair comparison.
The stars want to remind you that the things you get in real life may not be as slick and precisely designed to give you more bang for the buck, but they are usually more impressive.
The things you see on the screen are the result of an awful lot of people and technology combining to do one small thing. The people in your life are grinding it out everyday, dealing with all the things we all have to grapple with. If someone in your life manages to take the time and effort to simply let you know that you're loved, that's a huge deal. And the way they do that is not always readily apparent, because no one did market research and wrote and revised a script for them and did their makeup and shot them from the right angle while they do it.
People show their love and support in different ways, and sometimes what seems like a disappointment to you was a huge effort on their part. They just didn't have a crew of people helping them do it. They don't know what the rest of your particular movie has been like before they got on camera.
So take a little time to notice when the people in your life are there for you, and cut them some slack of they at least try to make your day a little bit better.
Reality may not be as perfect as a TV show or movie, but it's real, and that counts for a lot more.
