The stars want to point out that there is no shorter of insecure or thoughtless people who will say or do hurtful things to you, seemingly on a whim. Sometimes it's even the people who love you most.
People are complex beings, and every one of them is ruled by fear in some of its million guises. Even the best of us is riddled with self doubt and outright terror at times. We are in a constant battle to keep our emotions and reason in balance, and there is plenty of collateral damage.
So people will say things that cut you deep. Their inner strife will make them come out with things that might score a direct hit on your inner strife. Their insecurities will make them lash out, usually by attacking an area of insecurity you possess.
You can't do much to control someone someone else's actions, but you can control your reaction. That's one more reason to be conscious of choices, and why you make them. When you question why you do the things you do, you learn to trust your decisions, and who you are. The more self aware you become, and the more you know yourself, the less criticism and hurtful comments will bother you.
Then, when someone tries to cut you up or put you down, you can let it roll off you. You can actually feel bad for the person trying to make themselves feel better at your expense. If it's someone you care about, instead of getting mad and making it worse, you can open up a dialog with them about why they would say or do something so hurtful.
If you don't react the way they want you to, you take their power, which is more effective than anything you can say to hurt them back.
The stars know none of this is easy, but it's worth it. You will be stronger and more confident, you will save yourself much aggravation, and the people in your life will realize that they can't manipulate or control you to make themselves feel better. It can strengthen your relationships, and give you the courage to remove yourself from toxic ones.
Or you can just spend your life in one more caustic circle, repeating the same roles that have gotten you nowhere and filled you with anxiety and frustration. As always, the choice is yours.
