The stars advise you that if you need to be saved, you should get busy saving yourself. No matter how much support or love you have around you, you have to do the real work.
Others can inspire you, or go to great lengths to help and nurture you, but if you're not trying, it will all be for naught. A support group is just that: support. Support while you do a lot of the heavy lifting. In the end, it will be you that has to be strong, you that has to grow, you that sometimes has to change your entire outlook and perspective on the world. That's no easy task.
If you're trying to save someone, it is fraught with perils and traps. It's a delicate thing, and when you're that invested, it is hard to avoid pitfalls. Say one wrong thing or lose your patience and you could find yourself back at square one, or worse. Fail them once, and you might join the ranks of everyone else who has let them down and become another excuse for them to give up. Try too hard, and you enable them, to their addiction, or their trauma, or whatever mental health issues might be plaguing them.
People fail more than they succeed when it comes to saving themselves or others. Part of the reason is that growth doesn't follow any specific timetable. You could try a thousand times before you're truly ready. It's a herculean task, and tasks don't get that herculean tag without being staggeringly hard. Each failure could bring insight for when you try again, but more often than not it drags you deeper down a hole, and makes it harder instead of easier.
This doesn't mean you should stop trying to help, it doesn't mean you should stop trying to get better. It just means you should be prepared for failures and setbacks along the way. It means that the longer you put it off, the harder it will be.
The stars want to stress that everyone who succeeds in life plays by these same rules. True, some have bigger mountains to climb, and some have better tools and advantages to cope with it, but they have all had setbacks and pain in their life. No matter what their situation, they eventually did the work to save themselves. You can too. None of them did it completely by themselves. You don't have to either. But what you can't do, is nothing. You've been doing that long enough.
