The stars have guided humanity for millenia. From the moment our ancestors looked at the sky, they found patterns and guide posts to help make sense of the world. The stars told them when to plant and harvest, how to navigate the globe, they foretold the future and were home to the gods.
These days, it is hard to see the stars. Humanity has progressed so far, and artificial light obscures most of the stars from our eyes at night. Our heads are often pointed down anyway, at our phones or our feet. Many of us have lost our tether, and that's why we so easily fall prey to conmen, and our own insecurities and fears.
The stars are but one example of the things we've lost touch with. We are beset by distractions from every side, and we sometimes end up sacrificing all the things in life that make us better. We stop working on ourselves, and we disconnect with the people who love us and want the best for us. We lose the ones who inspire and encourage us. Who make life bearable and push and carry us when we don't want to keep going.
We find that we are adrift in a sea of noise and turmoil, of nonsense, things that seem important but have no substance. We are fooled and taken in by hollow promises and bright lights, and before we know it, we have lost track of what we knew and who we are.
Just because we don't see the stars so clearly at night, doesn't mean that they aren't still there. Even know, mankind is seeing further into the universe than ever before, searching the heavens for the answers to life itself. Scouring the great expanse of the galaxy, looking for our next home.
The people and things that connect you to the real world and a better life are still there as well. Your stars are there, just waiting for you to come back, and you are a star for other people as well. We all are. We all depend on each other, and we are all here to be a light in the darkness to guide and tether the next person. We can't do that when we are too busy chasing our tails.
The stars think you should reconnect to the people and things that matter, before you get too far adrift and can't find your way back. You just need to pause, recalibrate and look up. They will be here to guide you, to your return to happiness, to where you belong, and the to arms of love in your home amongst the stars.
