The stars want to remind you that while living a good and well examined life isn't easy, that's not all there is. Helping others and being there for everyone else is certainly commendable, but you can't do it non-stop. Trying to change the world and right the ills of society is something to strive for, but you shouldn't let it consume you.
Whether your messed up psyche lets you admit it or not, you deserve a break and a reward now and then. You're allowed to take care of yourself and be a little selfish sometimes.
So do that. Take some time when you can to just do things because you enjoy it. There doesn't have to be any point, you don't need to feel guilty for being frivolous. We are made to feel ashamed at times for wasting precious time, or just taking care of our needs. We end up curtailing our joy because some people have nothing better to do than criticize and belittle us. Most of the time, those people are hypocrites trying to make themselves feel better for letting themselves down.
So go do whatever it is you feel like doing, as long as it makes you happy. Throw money away on something stupid that you'll only use a couple of times. Take a nap or eat half a cake. Skip work and go for a walk or see a movie. Let someone else watch your kids tonight and just go feel like a teenager again.
Let all the crap we have to deal with go for a bit. All the noise from the world, and needy friends and family, and whatever overbearing responsibilities you've taken on. They'll still be here when you get back. Just let them all fend for themselves for a moment while you do something carefree and just for you.
