Today's Horoscope
All signs:
Today some of your best laid plans will go awry because someone doesn't play their part. Again.
Part of the continual disappointment in life is that you work and struggle to achieve something, or be there for someone, or to make a grand gesture, but the world seems to have other plans. No matter what sweat and toil, sacrifice or giving you've put into it, it goes unnoticed, or has no effect. Or worse yet, it gets you nothing but scorn or indifference from the person you love most.
The problem is that some of the greatest truths in the universe are not true every single time. Love almost always conquers all. Good things usually come to those who wait. Let's face it, karma has a pretty shitty track record. So while you're waiting for someone to see how much you love them, or how perfect things could be, they are off in their own reality of unresolved feelings and pain and anger that they can't let go of.
There are very few things in the world that solely depend on you. Almost all of them involve other people in some way, and those other people aren't always working off the same page as you. So you end up feeling unappreciated, or invisible, or foolish for wasting your time and energy on someone that is incapable of giving those things back to you or understanding their importance.
Many times we find ourselves in what seems like a movie and we've scripted it out in our heads down to the last detail and we set about making our dreams come true. Sadly, the other people in the movie don't have a copy of that script, so they miss their marks and blow their lines and sometimes don't even show up for filming. You're trying to make your fairytale ending and the actors suddenly seem miscast and the plot holes doom the whole endeavor.
The stars don't have any hard answers for you. While they know we constantly set ourselves up for failure, they also know that not trying isn't an option. To have no belief that things could work out, that there are no happy endings, is worse than trying and getting crushed.
That said, they feel sorry for the people that think of themselves as “hopeless romantics” and get hurt and damaged over and over again in situations when they should probably just walk away. They want those people to know that there is romance, there is that special someone that completes them out there. Unfortunately though, a lot of those people use that as justification to continue to beat their head and hearts against a wall rather than just admit what they already know. That the person they have been writing all these scenes in their head for are never going to get with the program. They will never deliver their dialog the way it was scripted, and the story fell apart long ago. As much as it hurts to admit, it's time to recast, or shut down production altogether and move on to the next one.
That's a wrap.
Aries:
Why can't you put the seat down when you're done peeing? Women have to use that toilet too.
