Today's Horoscope

All signs:
The stars want you to know that there is no bigger responsibility than being a parent. You are there to give your children everything they need to be successful, and start them out right. You will give them the foundation that supports them the rest of their lives, so it's up to you to make it a good one.
You're going to make mistakes, and you're going to be frustrated and heartbroken at times, that's normal. You're going to let them and yourself down. During those times you can't give up, and you can't take it out on them. You just take the opportunity to show them that we are all fallible, and we can all recover and be redeemed.
Give them a place where they are loved and protected and safe, and remind them of that often. Then you can create boundaries to keep them from harm, and watch as they learn some of the hard lessons in life, which will be easier for them when they know you are there waiting to help them make sense of it.
You have to learn how to love unconditionally, but with conditions. Which seems like a paradox, and it is, but not the only one you will face as a parent. You must truly be able to put someone else's well being before your own, and the stars are shocked everyday by the amount of people that can't even come close to achieving it.
The stars also want you to know that you don't have to be a parent to be a parent. Another paradox! You can be an aunt or an uncle, or a friend or neighbor. In many societies, and species, a whole village or community or pack helps raise a child. You can even be a complete stranger.
All you need to do is put a child's welfare before your own. Protect them, nurture them, and show them that there is love and grace in the world. They don't even have to be children. There are many adults that could use someone in their lives to set an example, to support or be proud of them.
A lot of people come from very bad situations regarding parents, and it may not look like it all the time, but they are still trying to get it right. So when you see someone struggling and fighting the good fight, help them. Love them. Give them gentle guidance and the benefit of your experience without so much judgment. Nurture their attributes and help them overcome their faults. Help them grow. Help them fight. Help them heal. Help them see that it's never too late.
Be a parent.
