The stars will never stop believing that there is more good in the world than there is bad. They will never stop believing that even though things are hard at times, and we sometimes get hit with things that can break us, that there is more than enough joy and love and support to make up for that. They will never stop believing that people are strong, and kind, and will persevere, and that they will still find ways to amaze and inspire you every single day.
They will never stop telling you these things, because they are absolutely true.
Yet some days it sure is hard to believe them when they tell you those things. Some days, all the encouragement and support and positive thinking can’t make a dent in the misery and despair you see and the shell you use to insulate yourself. On those days, you just have to hold yourself tight, and trust that all those things about goodness and better things and how you can weather the storm are true.
When finally you emerge, battered but still standing, the stars will be there on the other side, and their story will not have changed, and you will be one step closer to understanding why that is.
