It’s often said that life’s not fair, and truer words have never been spoken. The thing is, most people aren’t really looking for life to be fair. They just want it to be tolerable. They want to get just a little something back out of it for all the effort they are putting into it.
Even though there seems to be enough for everyone, that will never be enough for some. There are always going to be people in this world who want more than their share, and they will have a shifting moral code when it comes to how to get it. They accumulate power and wealth, and will take your share along with everyone else’s in a greedy scramble to climb to the top, and often there is nothing you can do about it.
There are people just like you, who have had to deal with all kinds of traumatic and miserable experiences. While you might come out of those experiences with an outlook that makes you want to be better to the world than it has been to you, others want to punish everyone for what happened to them. Many of these people are the ones we give our hearts to, and they make sure we pay for ever trusting them with that precious gift.
For everything that is special and unique and magical about you, there will be any number of people who want to stifle it. They will be resentful, they will be insecure, they will be abusive, and they will try to douse any flame that might shine brighter than them. Where you should be celebrated, you will be shunned.
The stars want you to understand that life is unfair because life feels unfair to everybody. Many of us are just dealing with it in a really destructive manner, perpetuating the misery because they simply can’t see the light. Instead of lifting themselves up, they want to drag everyone else down, and that is most likely never going to change.
The best that you can do is to shield yourself from the people who want to see you suffer for their pain. Don’t let people into your life who only want to punish you, along with themselves. Don’t dwell on the things that you can’t change. Don’t push the odds against you any more than they already are, or you will find yourself on the losing end more often than not.
