Today’s Horoscope

Sometimes, you’re just going to be tired and feel defeated and think that the world has it in for you. And the truth is, there are parts of the world that do have it in for you. Life is about competition, and a lot of that competition comes from sources that you can’t really strike back at or even identify. Just the act of breathing is a chore, and costs you damage as it gives you life. You are fighting viruses and poisons every minute, and waging a war of attrition every second with bacteria that vastly outnumber you.
Meanwhile, some of the people who love you are constantly hurting or hindering you, most of the time without even knowing it, and the stars aren’t sure if that fact is comforting or even more hurtful. Your job, your relationships, your looks, your personality, everyone is competing against you in all areas on some level. It’s interwoven with life, so most of the time you don’t even notice a lot of it, what with the real problems and psychopaths you have to deal with on a daily basis. Most of the time, you’re even waging war with yourself, in your own mind.
The stars tell you all this not to make you sad, or to tell you to give up or stop trying. They tell you this because they want you to realize that in spite of all that, you are still winning. You are still fighting, and that’s a good thing, because the sheer stubborn refusal to roll over and die is a big part of what living is all about. That’s how it is for everyone, so don’t punish yourself, or make yourself feel worse than you need to. Just figure out the best way forward every day, and keep moving. You will find your joy and your direction and your reason for living. You will figure out little things here and there that will make your life easier and more fulfilling. You will be more complete and more at peace, a little tiny bit at a time.
Meanwhile, keep navigating your way through all the other stuff, and take a break when you need it, and don’t feel guilty about that at all. Even when you’re sitting around doing nothing, you are really still fighting a war, so cut yourself some slack, prepare yourself for the next battle, and make sure it nets you some rewards.
