The stars want to remind you that how people treat you is not always indicative of who you are. Sometimes loving someone only brings you scorn and resentment. Sometimes caring makes people see the things in them that they hate. Sometimes you can do everything right, and it still won't be enough, but that's not your fault.
Some people are broken. Some have some quirks and issues that get in the way of their happiness, and yours. Some are so shattered that they might never be whole again.
Whatever the reason, they will punish you and be unreasonable, and occasionally they will tear you apart. That doesn't mean you deserve it. They are punishing you because of something someone did to them, probably long before you came along.
Don't let their self loathing and insecurities make you be like them. Misery has a way of multiplying. Hold on to your compassion and your ability to love, even if you want to lash out, or give up and sink into despair.
How they treat you is not what you deserve. Don't let it make you see yourself as anything less, don't blame yourself for their baggage, and don't let them make you hate them, because that's what they are trying to do. They want to prove to you that they are as horrible as they think they are. Don't join in.
Stay true to who you are, and keep your heart pure. Somewhere there's someone who deserves that heart. Bring it to them intact.
